Ideally the training event should be linked to an existing event to lower the threshold for participation and attract more participants. Ultimate this decision has to be made by leader of WP43. For now we assume the place and date are fixed (Florence 17/18 September)

We discussed the format and content of the training event. Several issues were discussed

  • Format: mix of theory, practical work, exercises
  • Information on participants should be available before the training starts (background, learning objectives, etc.). This can be asked when people register for the course (As was done for the The Hague Training in December 2013: http://aparsen.digitalpreservation.eu/bin/view/Main/Survey
  • It is relevant to align with current APARSEN training issues, e.g. D43.2
  • We need to start with the promotion of the training (program, subscription, etc.)
  • Description of training block should be made by WP leaders
  • Which WP leader will be in Florence? Juha, Maurizio, Yannis not, (99%) but asked Barbara Bazanella to step in. She did not confirm yet. Sabine and Stefan were not able to join the meeting.
