Follow-up from Previous Meeting and Review of Actions

Reminder for work package leaders to add to the list of WP-level risks, and to add to the list of potential external collaborators.

Management Update

Simon advised the group that he expects that the payments for the second year of the project will be made to the partners during the second half of November.

The agendas for both the AH and GA meetings have been set up and the papers for these meetings will be distributed nearer the time. There will be a web site working group meeting on Friday 6 December (the day after the GA meeting) in the morning and anyone is welcome to attend.

Stream 1 Integration

The new weekly meetings on the common vision follow this general MegaMeeting. The focus currently is on the draft delierable on the common vision.

David said we need to transfer the standards database from the Open Office database management system and get them up on the web site.

There had been some discussions with the Presto Centre and David has been pressing Holger and the team to move forward on this.

David said that to help obtain feedback from external parties via the website, he has put a feedback form on the website relating to the list of standards, and others will be added for the glossary and other resources. Krystina will be tracking any enquiries received about services that the VCoE offers.

Stream 2 Technical Research

Updates to deliverable D21.1: Simon will be asking partners to have a look at this deliverable and send additions or updates relating to preservation services.

Stream 3 Economic and Legal Research

Sabine reported that work on the deliverables is ongoing and WP35 is meeting regularly to coordinate the work. On the deliverable of WP31, the analysis of the survey results is also ongoing. Sabine is confident the deliverable draft will be ready by the beginning of December. In WP31, they had 31 results from the survey and a similar number for WP35.

Simon reported that there have not yet been any volunteers for internal reviewers for Month 36 deliverables so he will nominate if no volunteers come forward in the next week. During the meeting, John Lindstrom and Rene van Horik volunteered to be internal reviewers.

Stream 4 Spreading Excellence

Eefke advised that there are two forthcoming webinars confirmed. The first one is about interoperability and intelligibility strategies, which will be on Friday 8 November and the next one is on Monday 9 December and this is about certification of repositories. Eefke and Manuela will talk after the meeting about marketing and promotion of these webinars. Each of the speakers have been asked to make their own audio recording with their Powerpoint presentations and these will then be loaded onto the APARSEN web site.

The sustainability training will be in the week following the All Hands meeting, and also held at the KB in The Hague. The registration page is open and the programme is being finalised.

John Lindstrom advised that there is a WP42 planning meeting on 11 November and he will be collecting the outstanding reports from events this year.

David noted that the ICT 2103 event in Vilnius event is coming up in less than two weeks and wanted to know if anyone else is attending - please let him know. APARSEN will be represented in three networking events. David will be creating some posters for this event.

Manuela Holzmayer needs contributions to the WP44 annual report. Please provide any information you have relating to communication that has been done in Year 3 so that she can prepare the deliverable.
