Status of Year 3 reporting and cost claims

Simon reported that a few small additions still need to be made to the Periodic Report before final submission, and he will do that this week. Manuela Speiser is away on vacation at the moment and will need to check it on her return next week.

Any issues concerning Streams

Stream 1 Integration (WP11, WP13, WP16)

The soft launch event for the VCoE will take place on 25 March in Dublin, as a workshop with three other projects preceding the RDA meeting. Information is on the public website (http://www.alliancepermanentaccess.org/index.php/community/event/event-payments/?ee=26), though the agenda needs to be updated. Please register online if you are planning to attend.

In general there will need to be a plan for the rest of the year to give coherent shape to the offerings of the VCoE including training.

Stream 2 Technical research (WP22)

Maurizio reported on WP22. Planning for the final year is under way, with a view to maximising the impact for the VCoE. The WP will contribute through knowledge and experience to support consultancy servicess and training. They are also understanding whether they can produce real services to be implemented in the VCoE.

(Stream 3 Non-technical research - no active WPs)

No report

Stream 4 Spreading excellence (WP4n)

Eefke reported on the webinar on DRM held on 10 March. This went well, with 30-35 participants. Eefke is writing a report on it. The next webinar will be on 14 April on storage solutions, but still lacks one speaker. ESA might be able to provide a speaker, if their MegaMeeting problems are solved, but Eefke would also welcome any suggestions for guest speakers from outside. David suggested someone from EUDAT.

Daria reported that a proposal was submiteed for a joint SCAPE-APARSEN workshop at TPDL in September, and has been accepted. She also requested that information summarising recent events (such as the joint workshop with EGI in Amsterdam) should be sent to her.

David stressed the need to plan training and the summer school; it is important that the summer school creates material and acts as a market test. Sharon said there was a WP meeting last Monday but they had problems with MegaMeeting. There was a discussion around training events for the year including the summer school. There is a draft programme but they must ensure it aligns with the common vision cv and produces good material. Sharon will schedule a discussion with David. Kirnn is making good progress with the "training pills".
