Centre of Excellence launch event 22-23 October in Brussels

A very strong reminder to all partners to register for and attend the APA conference/Centre of Excellence launch. A good attendance will be critical to the success of the project at the final review. The Project Officer herself will be speaking at the conference and will be able to judge the situation.

Management update

The Form Cs for the third year of the project are now with the EC, and payment will be made to STFC.

Notes of the All Hands Meeting and General Assembly meeting is Amsterdam will soon be put on the wiki. Those who made presentations at the AHM should upload their slides to the wiki.

Progress of Tiger Teams for Year 4 activities

Training events and training material

There was to be a MegaMeeting on training at following this one. Kirnn gave a presentation at the AHM about progress with training and will upload her slides. There are several different areas: the Online Training Portal with content and metadata; the rest of the training module material; and training pages on the public website as the main point of focus.

Kirnn will be talking about training at the APA conference and is asking partners to present their own training offerings there; she has four or five volunteers already.

Market research

Ruben gave a full presentation at the AHM. This will feed into the stakeholder analysis.

Website and other communication/promotion activities

Kirnn and Simon had quickly reviewed the public website and identified that there are some glitches and some areas needing checking or contributions by all partners.

Gerald reported that for the training section of the website FTK is rephrasing the relevant web pages. Training material is being integrated into the OTP. The OTP will include online courses and will have a starting page with highlights.

Kirnn and Sharon had met and reviewed the training pages to change the layout for clarity.

Simon reminded everyone of the forthcoming webinar on 14 October.

VCoE offerings: services, tools, consultancy

Some decisions were taken at the General Assembly meeting; in summary:

  • D11.6 is to be a blueprint for the CoE
  • the stakeholder analysis will be revisited
  • action on all to give views on the preferred model of the CoE on the wiki page NatureOfCoEDiscussion
  • action on all to provide final update of offerings to Krystina
