Minutes of Project Management Board meeting, 14th March 2013

Present: Simon Lambert, Veronika Praendl-Zika, William Kilbride, Maurizio Lunghi, Sabine Schrimpf.

Review preparation

Ater checking the time slots available for the presentations in the review, it seems that no adjustment is needed, as many of them are quite generous (one hour for some topics). William observed that in any case the meeting will be quite fluid and the reviewers will drive it.

There was a discussion of this morning's rehearsal of the common vision/VCoE presentation. There was some concern that it is rather thin on content.

Some specific suggestions for the presentation:

  • make more of the output from the Brussels workshop
  • mention Working Groups and their members, including one proposed by Maurizio for the preservation of APARSEN's own outputs
  • a systematic methodology seems missing: we could argue we are now entering a new phase where the workshops will become more important after preparatory work of the first two years
  • we could argue that much work in integration has been in understanding others' needs and finding how to work together, leading to revision of the DoW which is itself a sign of better integration

The AHM/General Assembly planned for after the review will be the forum to deal with wider issues concerning the planning for the VCoE.

Status of DoW and Periodic Report for Year 2

ACTION: William and Simon to confirm DPC's costs are correct in new DoW.

William now needs agreement to start spending money on training courses - so William, Veronika and Simon will check the figures proposed for these expenses.

Any other issues
