Digital Preservation Practices, Services and Technologies (Practices)

Digital Preservation Training (Training)

Digital Preservation is an emerging field for research and development and needs reflection in education and training. APARSEN as a Network of Excellence will help to train the next generation of digital preservation experts by designing different types of curricula. APARSEN aims to define courses and develop training materials for digital preservation practitioners, providing instruction on topics covered by APARSEN’s research and integration activities as well as general digital preservation best practice.

Digital Preservation Audit and Certification (Audits)

Digital Preservation Events (Events)

Interlinkages with other Digital Preservation Projects and Activities External Advisory Committee (Stakeholders)

As a Network of Excellence APARSEN will set up close relationship with other institutions, projects and networks within the digital preservation community and beyond, in Europe and around the world. A broader initiative at European level and a more diverse Europe-wide organisation involving key stakeholders in different domains dealing with digital data preservation aspects is needed if we wish to achieve the profound restructuring that is required. APARSEN will use different communication channels to directly involve stakeholders be it at external workshops, symposia and events or in close collaboration with the further development of the Interactive Map of Actors and Stakeholders in Digital Preservation.
