  • Jeffrey van der Hoeven
  • René van Horik

Since the last meeting, Silvio Salza added a description of an authenticity management service to assist repositories in analysing and defining authenticity management policies. Simon did not add descriptions of (potential) services emerging from SCAPE as he preferred to wait until the classification scheme was in place.

Simon suggested a two-dimensional classification: one dimension of "requirements", which could be essentially the threats to preservation identified by PARSE.Insight; and the other of types of services, perhaps based on the mind-mapping that Stefan Proell had begun. This would give the basis for a "landscape" of services. The idea of a multidimensional classification was generally liked.

Jeffrey van der Hoeven explained his proposal to distinguish general service descriptions from particular implementations. This was agreed as the right approach.

ACTION: Jeffrey to rationalise list of services to distinguish general descriptions from implementations. DONE (26-10-2012)

Stefan Proell and Ash Hunter have been doing some experimenting with mind maps.

ACTION: Simon to circulate example of mind map showing service classification.

There is not much scope for revising the WP description in the DoW as the WP is due to end at M26 and it would not be acceptable to delay the deliverable due at that date. The WP should only be extended if there is a definite extra piece of work that can be done, or perhaps if there has been a major underspend of effort. Emanuele Bellini pointed out that the deliverable should make reference to cooperation with other WPs.

ACTION: Simon to check actual/planned WP21 effort booking.

ACTION: Simon to make minor edits to WP21 text for revision of DoW, for all to approve.

There is an outline/table of contents for the deliverable on the wiki page.

ACTION: All to look at deliverable outline and comment, particularly on anything missing or anything that will cause problems in writing.

This action will feed into the session on sustainability at the AHM.
