Progress and achievements this month

Task 4410: Draft Communication Plan

no action needed, updated Communication Plan in March 2012

Task 4420: Communication outreach and awareness raising

  • work on iD44.2 - Annual report on communication activities due by the end of December 2012
  • Annual progress reporting.
  • networking with other initiatives:
    • talks with PrestoPrime which just finished on a possible cooperation with the follow-up project "Presto for you"
    • in the course of the APARSEN workshop on persistent identifiers at the Cultural Heritage Conference in Florence on December 13 talks with Europeana and EUDAT on closer collaboration in terms of development of an interoperability framework for persistent identifiers
  • concept for a practical toolkit on how to disseminate/promote/share/announce workshops and training in general; and make material available on the website, at least the slides of the presentations;

Task 4430: Support communication of PM

Ongoing communication on the new design of the website, first draft of new webdesign was sent to the group. Website group discussed the new design and gave feedback to the project coordinator for further communication with the web design company

Task 4440: Set up of editorial team for communication

no activities in this month

Task 4450 Install and curate social media

Active communication during the Cultural Heritage Conference in Florence (December 11 to 13, 2012) over our social media channels, ongoing encouragement of partners to use our social media channels, elaboration of a social media strategy

Task 4460: Drafting and issue of newsletters

Conceptualisation and preparation of the second newsletter, introduction of a rubric "APARSEN friends" in which related projects and initiatives can post their news and announcements

Task 4470: Interactive Map of stakeholders

Ongoing work: Specification of a set of categories for the most important distinction of organizations ==> definition of STAKEHOLDER TYPE. Currently work is going on to enrich and harmonise stakeholder categorisation with input from all the APARSEN WPs for the central stakeholder base on the one hand and the Interactive Map on the other hand.

Further steps in WP44:

  • commenting second proposal for the website of the webdesigners
  • holding a telephone conference with the webdesigners to clarify major issues
  • ongoing: new update of the general APARSEN ppt presentation
  • editing of summaries from the upcoming deliverables for use in external communication
  • finalisation of a new issue of newsletter: summary of upcoming deliverables, announcements of the upcoming milestone on sustainability, announcements of APARSEN activities
  • further use of social media
  • preparation of a brochure on sustainability
  • discuss how to produce a brochure or an online tool referring to standards, for work done in WP13, referring to MS3 - Checkpoint on standardisation activities
  • further development of a central stakeholder database and interlinking with the Interactive Map
