Workshop options for APARSEN:

#1 is to do a joint workshop with other EU-projects (TIMBUS, SCAPE, Ensure, etc.) to tell about what we all do for ourselves as well as for externals.

#2 Do an APARSEN workshop on a specific theme, using our deliverables and papers.

The purpose of the workshop is to describe the approach APARSEN is taking to bring together and defragment the various techniques for digital preservation and build a Virtual Centre of Excellence. I particular the APARSEN view of Trust is presented for discussion.

How to submit workshop proposals

Workshop proposals should be a maximum of 2 pages and conform to the template at http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates Proposals should be submitted them through the conference submission system (more information at http://timbusproject.net/news/news/106-ipres-2012-call-for-contributions ).

The proposal should include the following:

  • Brief abstract summarizing the purpose and scope of the workshop
  • Outline of the workshop content
  • If the workshop is part of a series or is a follow-on to previous events, a short description of the series or preceding events
