Peer review and certification of repositories

Securing permanent access of quality assured research data on reliable repositories is a central concern of APARSEN. Two approaches to realize these goals are peer review of data and repository audit. APARSEN has produced reports on the state of the research concerning both topics and corresponding best practices.

  • The "Report on Peer Review of Research Data in Scholarly Communication / Link" focuses on action taken by science, e-infrastructure and publishers on quality assurance of research data. Such action is documented and classified in this report. Future fields of research are then identified based on this work.

The reports are the result of close cooperation among the partners of the APARSEN project and are meant as part of the outreach of APARSEN to start conversations within the digital preservation community and the interested public at large. Comments are most welcome: comments@aparsen-domain
