Software Repository

Whilst the consortium puts together the exact details for the form of the Software Repository, this wiki page can be used to maintain links that may be interest to the rest of the consortium and can be used to initially populate the repository once it has been established.

Software

Identification Tools

DROID
Should you have need of any of the old DROID signature files, they are (with a few exceptions) available at: http://users.ecs.soton.ac.uk/dt2/droid/ The newer ones (53 onwards) are missing, though.

The website also allows you to compare pairs of signature files, should you want to.

Characterisation Tools

SCAPE have developed a characterisation tool testing suite. It's described in their deliverable D9.1 (which does not seem to be available publicly yet - see: http://www.scape-project.eu/category/deliverable) and summarised in a blog posting on the OPF's website, see:

http://openplanetsfoundation.org/blogs/2012-02-23-identification-tools-evaluation

They've used it to test DROID 6.0 (signature 45), FIDO (0.9.6) and Tika 1.0.

Migration Tools

The University of Freiburg have made available their UfcMigrate service over the web. It carries out a migration in an emulated environment. See: http://openplanetsfoundation.org/blogs/2012-02-20-ufcmigrate-service-now-available

Test Data Corpora

David Tarrant has gathered together the old Planets coropora and the New Zealand GovDocs dataset and made them available at: http://soton.corpora.openplanetsfoundation.org

See the section entitled "Data...data...data!" in http://openplanetsfoundation.org/blogs/2012-02-20-summary-outputs-and-roadmap-feb-2012 for more details.
